My Goals for the Remainder of 2018

As we’re nearing the end of 2018, I’ve put together a list of goals I want to reach by the end of the year. Although some of these are pretty achievable, others are going to require some planning and a lot of determination.

Financial

  1. Complete Baby Step 3

We are soooo close to crossing this off the list. We’ve been working on this goal for the majority of this year and will be reaching it in the next few days. I have to admit, it’s taken us longer than expected due to cash flowing expenses that come with a new baby. But, I am so excited to finally move on to baby step 3B!

  2. Save $2k towards Baby Step 3B

With only 2 months left of 2018, I’ve set the goal of saving at least $1k/month towards baby step 3B. Not sure how realistic this is since the holidays are coming up and we tend to spend more during this time, but I am hoping with some planning we will be able to stay on budget.

  3. Make $500/month from a side hustle

I run an Etsy shop and currently average about $300/month in sales. I plan on increasing that number by promoting my shop which I currently don’t do enough of. I’m hopeful that this will bring in more sales, bumping that number closer to $500.

  4. Complete sinking fund for a new iPhone

My current iPhone 6 is pretty beat up. After dropping it a few times, it has a cracked screen that I can barely see through. I prefer buying my phones outright instead of adding the cost to my monthly payment so I’ve started a sinking fund for a new phone. Although I know I can just go ahead and get the phone on monthly installments, I’d rather purchase it once I’ve reached my sinking fund goal. It helps me practice patience and delayed gratification.

Health

  1. Lose 10 Pounds

I would love to get back to my pre-baby weight by the end of the year which means losing at least 10 pounds. I’ve started loosely following the keto diet and plan on tightening up my meal plan by the end of October. It’s taken me a while to figure out which keto meals I enjoy making & eating so I haven’t been 100% successful at sticking to this diet plan. YET!

  2. Consistently do Kayla Itsines BBG for 8 weeks

Instead of paying $20+ a month for a gym membership, I’ve decided to start the Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide. I’ve heard such good comments and seen great transformations with this program that I want to give it a try. It’s always been hard for me to keep a consistent work out routine but the app that comes with this program seems to help a lot of people stay on track with their workout schedule.

Blog

  1. Add 2 printables to the resources page

During my debt payoff journey,  the use of worksheets and spreadsheets to track my progress helped keep me motivated. I have lots of ideas for printables that can help others track their debt but have not made the time to create them. My goal is to create at least 2 printables that I can add to my Resources page for others to download and use.

  2. Get 1 month ahead on blog posts

Posting 4x/week is a lot of work and can get overwhelming so I would like to get 1 month ahead on blogposts. This means at least 16 posts ready to go by the end of December! It seems like a lot but I believe I’ll be able to do it with enough planning and time blocking my days.

So that’s it! I’ll post an update in early January to let you know which goals I was able to achieve.

Have you set any goals for the end of 2018?
